Our Philosophy
I'm Jade (he/him), and I founded The Onyx Consultancy to support businesses that need the kind of operational support that keeps things moving without recruiting, onboarding, and managing a new staff member to achieve it. There are times when support is needed and continuity matters, but hiring is not practical or efficient. This is where I work best.

My experience spans a range of industries and roles, from small business to large corporate, in both standard and senior capacity. That breadth has given me a practical understanding of how teams operate and how work gets done in real environments, not just how it looks on paper.

No matter the setting, I pay attention to how work operates in practice from start to finish, and where opportunities exist to develop or evolve processes and policies to reduce friction and make things easier to manage.​ I am at my best when things are complex and require considered structure.

I take a continuous improvement approach into both my work and daily life. For me, improvement is not about perfection, but about learning, refining, and making things easier, smarter, and more considered for the people who depend on the outcome, including myself.

We are shaped by the philosophy of kintsugi, the art of repairing what is cracked with gold so it returns stronger than before. We see the same truth in how people and businesses work. Perfection is rarely necessary, and starting again from scratch is often not the answer. Recognising what already exists and strengthening what supports it allows work to continue with resilience, continuity, and direction.
